It took me a long time to decide to visit a commercial lake, but finally the decision was made to visit Lake Széki (Hungary). After about two and a half hours drive, I finally saw the lake. Of course it rained, which is the worse scenario for the start of campaign. The man who was employed there, was walking in front of the car in the rain and showed me where my fishing position was. On the peg I stuck a red flag that you get when you buy a pass and both guards and other passers-by know that the space is occupied and it's all paid for.

First of all I set up a tent and after that, I went out in a boat with my sonar and start poking around with prodding stick. I found a good spot ranging from a depth of 5.2 m to 4.4 m, and I quickly decided on another position at a depth of 5.2 m in a hurry, as I was very wet because of the heavy rain. At this depth I feed only with Eurostar boilies SBS Garlic 20 mm. In the second spot I fed with particle (tiger nut, hemp, cashew nuts, almonds and a little corn) and a couple of SBS premium M2 20 mm boilies.

I fished with long snoods from 20 cm to 25 cm on the hair. I had the most success with SBS 20+ M2 Premium wafter boilies in combination with SBS M2 premium pop ups and SBS Eurostar wafters in combination with SBS Hi Vis Fluro Pop Ups. I kept changing systems, but mostly I was fishing with a Ronnie rig (from Gardner Tackle) or bottom bait rig and, of course adding to each PVA , with boilies on the bait as well as SBS paste (Eurostar Garlic, Premium M2).

I was fishing for four days and four nights and I experienced something really amazing, the fish were simply not eating at night, and only during the day. So, at least I was sleeping well. I had many bites, but I lost at least half of the fish.The last day I realized what the problem was and why I was losing fish. The carp had very injured mouths and so many of them escaped because of that previous damage. Even 25 + carp escaped right in front of my nose, turning around and swimming back to the depths. I had problems with grass carp too, which are fish that I otherwise very much like to fish for, but there is absolutely too many of them in this lake and they are too small also. Most of them weight 2-6 kg. I had already caught about 20, but more than half of bites had not been realized, because they could not eat the bait.

I was also fishing with 24 mm, 30 mm boilies, but nevertheless, I managed to take a picture of fishes, 20+, 15+ and a few 10+. So I went home satisfied. I would like to praise the politeness and friendliness of all the staff there. In particular, I would like to commend the President of the 80 ha water because he visited me twice and asked if everything was ok, and something like that I have never experienced. It was very pleasant experience and of course, thanks also to SBS Tactical Baits for excellent baits.
