In this article and in the short movie attached I will deal with the choice of spot, the placing of the buoys and the special rig necessary for concentrated feeding at extreme water depths. If you want to find out more about this angling method or you are just interested in watching the short underwater film please join me and you will see even more astonishing pictures than you did before. Even anglers who are not interested in boilie Carp fishing will watch these pictures with wonder…

I chose the mine lake to host my presentation; it is one of the most suitable places for this purpose. You must remember the breathtaking environment:

In addition to the beautiful scenery …

… you can see into the depths of the clear, almost drinking quality, water.

The first step is to place the buoys. It is very important to choose the fishing area with care, because it may affect many things. You may have the best baits and the best rigs but if you try to fish a place that is unfavourable or hard for the fish to access you will catch nothing. Please watch my short movie linked to this article to find out more about the proper choice of spot. The next crucial thing is to prepare the feeding properly; taking into consideration the weather conditions, as well as the feeding habits of the fish. As the fishing trip was postponed to late autumn the target fish was large-sized Carp, that’s why I chose a small but highly concentrated feeding.

By the time these small-grained seeds reach the lake’s bed, at a depth of 14 m they may spread metres away from the point of feeding.

So, how can one achieve concentrated feeding in such an extremely deep lake if your mixture of bait contains small seeds? With the help of the FOX Bait Dropper (Large) rig borrowed from fine-rig fishing. This rig is able to carry 2 to 3 handfuls of feeding mixture, regardless of ingredients and water depth, directly to the end rig with maximum concentration. Its use is very simple and does not require any expertise:

I lift the lid of the Bait Dropper

I fill it with the feeding mixture which, in our case, contains very small-sized oilseed rape.

Please take care not to squeeze too much in or the lid will not close.

Put the lid on and the Dropper is ready.

A special advantage of this product is that the appetizer in the feeding mixture makes a trail of scent directly to our feeding.

When the device has grounded it opens automatically and the previously filled materials fall out.

I repeat this step until I have dropped the proper quantity of baits around my end rig. In this case I used the Bait Dropper four times.

The water is only 1 metre deep in this picture but it is clear that the feeding on the left-hand side, which was cast by hand, has spread in a bigger circle than the one on the right-hand side, which was dropped with the help of the Bait Dropper

The end rig is directly next to the concentrated feeding; now it’s time to return.

When I return in my boat to my fishing spot I have to take care of two things:

One thing is that the line must always be stretched so I regulate it with my fingers.

The other thing is that the line should not be overstretched or else something may get broken and my end rig may move away, or what is worse, it may get struck somewhere where it is inaccessible, that would just waste time.

Each end rig is properly positioned.

If you want to get more detailed information about the bringing-in method or if want to see how the Bait Dropper works underwater, or if you are simply interested in underwater photography, watch my short movie linked to this article. A few samples from the short movie:
