A few years ago I did not know anything about carp fishing as I was active in different sports. When I moved with my wife to Hungary, my brother-in-law, Zoli Kovács took me to Maconka for a weekend. The first fish I caught was a 13 kg carp. Maybe this catch gave me the sparkle to visit more and more lakes with Zoli. In 2006 I was the team runner of the SBS SziKo Team in Palotas (Hungary), where the team finished in 1st place. After this kind of experience, it was not hard to fall in love with fishing. Later on, I participated with good results in a few competitions with my mate, György Bessenyei. Several times we won the prize for the biggest fish of the competition and we also finished in 2nd place at the II. SBS VIP Carpfishing Cup. Recently I have had a lot of work to do, and I do not have enough time to compete, but as soon as I have spare time, I go to fish the lakes nearby. My PB is a 22.40 kg mirror carp that I caught in March 2014. I hope I can beat this record as I have two childen and it is not easy to find time to fish, as I spend my free time with family.
