You may remember the extraordinary result we achieved this year at the II. Ezerjó Carp Angling Cup. Since then we have had a lot of questions concerning the bait that we used, many anglers are interested in the circumstances surrounding our 96-hour 1415 kg catch. In the following two-part series I will show you in detail the techniques and the new products that contributed to the world-record result.

Research and development... So what?

It’s not a secret that from time to time besides the proven baits the members of the Team SBS gain experience of brand new products during their trial periods. With the official members of the team we are constantly analyzing the results and the experiences during bait testing.

It is also possible for them to create something new and unique using available or brand new ingredients that you can not find on the shelves of the fishing stores. I think it is important to mention these things, because I want you to know how we create new products at SBS. We work together as a team using the experiences, information, ingredients and my own ideas to develop the latest products for the company. The main goal of the development work is that after a 1 year successful testing period all of the well-tried products will be available for everyone to buy.

What kind of bait shall we take to the II. Ezerjó Carp Angling Cup?

We arrived at the II. Ezerjó Carp Angling Cup with a continuously tested bait and groundbait, which one week before had proved itself at the National Carp fishing Championship. With the use of this new combination we won the last round of the National Championship and we had a strange but nice experience, we caught Carp and Grasscarp in the same proportion.

Encouraged by this we paid particular attention to this bait during the strong warming weather and the results showed that even with a few feedings we could achieve an extraordinary outcome. Of course, for safety’s sake we prepared mixed sizes of soluble M1 boilies as well.

Let the competition begin...

After the opening ceremony of the competition we were really excited, and waited for the peg draw. We were the 14th team in the row, and luckily we pulled out the number 15 peg from the hat, one of the favourite pegs around the lake.

We began the fishing according to our pre-determined tactics. Even though we knew we had chosen a promising spot, we had not expected that by the end of the first day we were going to land 234 kg of fishes.

The name of the new-born baby is Flumino

The tentative new bait proved itself during the first hours of the competition, and it was not a question any more, we were going to introduce the Flumino range.

All In Flumino Box includes everything required during a session

Maybe the name Flumino needs some explanation it refers to the the fluorescent color, which is high visible underwater, and has high amino content. With the presence of the All In Flumino Boxes we offer complex packages in four flavours, which contain two kinds of hookbaits, the groundbait mixer, and the groundbait.

As you will see in the movie, the All In Flumino Box is available in cooked and soluble versions, this refers to the two types of hookbaits included in the box. The soluble fluro buoyant baits are distributed in 16 mm diameter, the cooked ones in 10 mm with two small bottles of flavours to enhance the attraction effect.

The contents of the Flumino Box will also be available for purchase individually.
The special material which is responsible for the color of the groundbait will be also available in two versions under the name Flumino Liquid Concentrate. The vertical one colors the different layers of water, while the horizontal is attracting the fish by laying on the lake bed.

At the end of the article I am going to show you in detail the contents of the Flumino Box that we will distributed from the beginning of 2012.

New target: 1000 kgs...

During the competiton it felt like time had stopped. We had bite after bite and we did not realize that we had been working hard for two days with only few minutes of rest and sleep. We had the same experience as we had had at the National Championship few day before, we caught Carp and Grasscarp in turn.

It was an interesting experience that the Flumio baits were unbeatable during the day but at night they did not work with the same intensity. We did not stop, after sunset we used the soluble M1 boilies, luckily they proved themselves again. A few days after the competition, when we checked the Competitors Catch Sheet and counted we thought, that maybe we will have the chance to surpass our target, the 1 ton...
